WATCH: Texans' Stefon Diggs wins over fans with hat giveaway and autographs after win over Steelers

Stefon Diggs had no stats in the Houston Texans' 20-12 preseason win at the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday. However, he continued to acclimatize himself to his new team.

Shortly after the final whistle, the four-time Pro Bowl wideout went over to the stands to sign a jersey (more specifically the new Color Rush jersey with H-Town Blue) bearing his name. Afterward, he gave a pair of Steelers fans his cap.

The Texans were led in the air by Robert Woods (four catches for 42 yards) and Tank Dell (one 34-yard touchdown).

Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans likes having Stefon Diggs

Once Stefon Diggs plays, fans may expect much productivity and production in the air. Head coach DeMeco Ryans is already liking what he sees. Speaking to The Athletic's Dianna Russini on the "Scoop City" podcast, he said:

“I love Diggs. He’s off the charts as a leader, off the charts as a player and a person.”

He continued by saying that he had no issues with his wideout, who had been embroiled in a feud with former quarterback Josh Allen:

“I don’t have to worry about that. I’ve never had issues with players when it comes to that … (Diggs) is a guy who loves football... I’m not worried about him one bit.
“And it’s all positive, all upbeat, all encouraging. It’s like, 'Man, who wouldn’t want this guy on our team?' I’m so thankful and blessed that we were able to acquire him... because I think his leadership level is just off the charts.”

Another Texan who expects good things out of Diggs is linebacker Danielle Hunter, who played with him at the Minnesota Vikings until the end of the 2019-20 season. During a recent appearance on "Up & Adams," Hunter discussed the four-time Pro Bowler's connection with sophomore quarterback CJ Stroud:

“I think I seen something like that in the Pro Bowl, because I was watching them. We were going against them in the 7-on-7 deal, and they had like a good connection, so I was like oh wow, they seem to connect really well.”

The Texans next play the New York Giants on Aug. 17.
