Watch: Travis Kelce's new teammate Louis Rees-Zammit enjoys Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in UK
Travis Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor Swift, is in the U.K. performing on her Eras Tour. While the Kansas City Chiefs tight end couldn't be in the U.K. to support her, his new teammate could.
Chiefs new hire Louis Rees-Zammit attended Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, United Kingdom. The former rugby star took to his Instagram to share a sneak peek into his visit to the "All Too Well" singer's concert.
In the clip shared by Louis Rees-Zammit, Taylor Swift appeared to be performing her hit song "Love Story" in front of a cheering crowd. The outing came two months after the Chiefs signed Louis Rees-Zammit through the International Player Pathway program.
Later, Rees-Zammit revealed how he received a wholesome welcome from Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. During a star appearance at The Rugby Pod podcast, Rees-Zammit explained that the Chiefs' star quarterback and tight end were helpful toward him:
"Pat and Travis [Kelce] have messaged me, just saying 'welcome to KC,' if I ever need anything let me know. Everyone's been so welcoming."
In April 2024, during Episode 86 of the "New Heights Podcast," Travis Kelce spoke about advice he gave to Rees-Zammit, who had a major shift from rugby to NFL. Kelce noted that it's going to be quite overwhelming to adapt to the game but gave some advice that could help his new teammate:
"The biggest advice I gave him was, ‘try not to let it overwhelm you as much as it can and just know that everybody believes that you have the potential to be able to play.' Absorb as much as you can, learn as much as you can.”
Travis Kelce praised Chiefs new hire Rees-Zammit
During the same podcast episode, Travis Kelce detailed his first impressions of Louis Rees-Zammit:
"I’ve really just enjoyed the guy’s energy so far. He’s super excited about the opportunity that he’s been given, knowing that not everybody gets given these opportunities." (1:38:17)
"He was an absolute star in the European league that he was in. For him to make the jump and try to go from Wales to Kansas City, it’s a pretty ballsy move and a pretty cool move to be making. I’m pumped too, and he said he’s ready for the lateral whenever," Travis Kelce added.
Rees-Zammit is spending time with Chiefs players in practice sessions ahead of the 2024 regular season and participated in the sessions organized by quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
