WATCH: Tua Tagovailoa hypes Dolphins crowd after signing $212,400,000 deal

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and the team have finally agreed to a long-term deal. Tagovailoa signed a four-year, $212.4 million contract extension with the Dolphins on Friday, becoming one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL.

After signing his new deal before the start of the weekend, Tagovailoa addressed Miami fans at a Sunday morning practice, addressing his contract extension.

Tagovailoa said:

"Yeahhhh, show me the money! On behalf of the Miami Dolphins organization, thank you. We're going to need you guys to hype us up. It's hot out here, and keep the chants going, let's go!"

Fans shouted as Tagovailoa hyped up the crowd before stepping on the field.

Tagovailoa has improved each season for Miami, upping his win totals each season. Last season, he led the league with 4,624 passing yards and had a career-high 29 touchdown passes. He's also helped lead the Dolphins to playoff appearances in each of the last two seasons.

After signing his four-year, $212.4 million contract extension, Tua Tagovailoa is now the fourth highest-paid quarterback in the NFL, averaging $53.1 million per season.

Trevor Lawrence, Joe Burrow and Jordan Love each have contracts that pay them $55 million per year. Love signed a four-year contract extension worth $220 million the same day Tagovailoa received his contract extension.

Of Tagovailoa's $212.4 million, there's $167 million in guarantees. Miami can potentially get out of the contract following the 2026 season, as Tagovailoa will have been paid around $152 million, being due $19.8 million.

With Jordan Love and Tua Tagovailoa inking new contract extensions on Friday, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is up next.

Prescott is entering the final year of his current deal. Ideally, the Cowboys would like to hammer out a long-term deal before the start of the season.

Seeing that Love's and Tagovailoa's deals didn't exceed $60 million per year, maybe Dallas is looking to offer him around $55 million per year, the same as the three highest-paid quarterbacks. A deal is likely to happen before the start of the season, but there's a chance Dallas and Prescott will play out this season before a new deal.
