WATCH: Was Nick Bosa high? 49ers DE gets pulled over by police in Florida for bizarre reason

San Francisco 49ers star defensive end Nick Bosa got into some trouble last year when he was pulled over in Broward County, Florida.

After he failed to yield to another vehicle, Bosa was pulled over and was caught having an expired license. The cop pulled him over and the two had a brief discussion about why he was pulled over.

Bosa told the cop ahead of time that his license had expired and that he planned to get it re-registered. The cop then gave Bosa two citations, one for failing to yield and an expired license.

In the comments, some questioned whether or not Bosa was high as he slurred some of his words and was confused at times. The video was posted three days ago on March 26, 2023 on Real World Police's YouTube channel.

At the NFL's annual league meeting on Monday, 49ers general manager John Lynch addressed that the team is currently working on a long-term deal with Nick Bosa.

Lynch said:

"He's training. He's doing what Nick Bosa does, like a madman and we're going to address his contract at some point. I know that it will take persistence, it will take patience, all the things I said before."

He added that sometimes, contract extensions with star players don't come as quick as they'd like. He added:

"He's a really good player who's going to get everything that he's earned and deserves, and I do like our track record of getting them done. They don't come as quick as you'd like sometimes."

The 49ers are going to want to retain Bosa. He's coming off the best season of his career as he just won Defensive Player of the Year.

He recorded 51 tackles while leading the league in sacks with 18.5 and also forced two fumbles and deflected a pass. He will play this season on the fifth-year option which will pay him $17.8 million this season.

In his career, he's recorded 156 tackles, 56 tackles for loss, 43 sacks, four pass deflections, eight forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. If Bosa has another season like the one he just had, he could become the league's highest defensive player in 2024.
