What happened to David Njoku? Injury update on Browns TE for Week 4 fantasy football
Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku had a breakout season in 2023, making his first Pro Bowl and setting career highs in catches, yards and touchdowns. Looking to build off of his momentum from last season, Njoku suffered a minor setback in Week 1.
Against the Dallas Cowboys, Njoku made a 27-yard reception before being blindsided by a Dallas defender. As a result, Njoku got up limping and eventually left in the third quarter and never returned. Njoku had four receptions for 44 yards in the loss.

After returning to the practice field on Thursday, with some hope of returning back to the Cleveland Browns' lineup, David Njoku is officially out for Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Njoku will not practice on Friday and has ruled the tight end out. This will be the third straight game Njoku will miss with the ankle injury.
With Njoku returning to the practice field, it does provide some optimism that he could return to the field next week.
Stefanski also ruled out starting offensive tackles Jed Wills and Jack Conklin, as well as running back Pierre Strong Jr.
Cleveland Browns take on the Las Vegas Raiders this Sunday
Sunday's game between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Cleveland Browns is pivotal for both teams. Both the Raiders and Browns enter their matchup with 1-2 records.

The Browns are tied for second place in the AFC North with the Baltimore Ravens with a 1-2 record, while they both trail the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are 3-0. The Raiders are tied for last place with the Denver Broncos, each 1-2 in the AFC West.
