What happened to Jerry Jones' family? Cowboys GM's children, grandchild involved in accident before 49ers clash
Jerry Jones is already having a 2024 season to forget. His Dallas Cowboys are underperforming, with the low point being home drubbings of 47-9 to the dominant Detroit Lions and 44-19 to the scuffling New Orleans Saints.
On Sunday, his son Jerry Jr., daughter Charlotte Anderson and grandchild Shy Anderson Jr. were involved in an accident just before a night game at the San Francisco 49ers.
According to reports, the two were on their way to Levi's Stadium when a rising barricade hit their car. The Cowboys' medical team rushed to Jerry Jr. (head injury) and Charlotte (rib injury). According to WFAA sports anchor Mike Leslie, all were cleared to watch the game from the visiting owner's suite.
All three persons involved have roles in the organization. Jerry Jr. is part of the ownership group and the current chief sales and marketing officer, while Charlotte is the chief brand officer. Shy Jr. is a scout.

Jerry Jones had a strong message for Cowboys before 49ers SNF clash
It would be fair to say that the pressure is on Cowboys rebound from the aforementioned loss to the Lions, and one source of it is from Jerry Jones himself. Speaking recently to 105.3 The Fan, he said:
"I’ll be very candid with you. Every aspect needs improvement from where I thought I would be, we would be. I know where the players and coaches think they would be."
He further explained:
"As a matter of fact, I think it’s a conscious thing to bear down… to pay attention to real detail, how you do your steps, your willingness to work on the little things. Great players that we’ve had do that."
There was also the matter of Mike McCarthy, who is on the last year of his contract and has been hearing speculation about whether he should be replaced, and by whom. Jones had a brutally assessment of his head coach:
"There's some (problems) of execution… We're designing bad plays, we're designing bad concepts.''
