"What if I’d have painted my fingernails": Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw cracks up over Caleb Williams' nail polish
The 2024 NFL draft's first pick, Caleb Williams, has been turning heads with his fondness for painting his nails. Former Pittsburgh Steelers legendary quarterback Terry Bradshaw had a laugh over Williams' habit during an appearance on "Fox NFL Sunday."
While the Chicago Bears edged out a 24-17 victory on their season opener against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, the icon focused on the nail polish adorning the Bears' QB. The four-time Super Bowl champion took a humorous jab at Williams and wanted his co-hosts to respond to a hypothetical scenario:
“What if I’d have painted my fingernails in 1970? Black on this side and gold on this side."
However, the Hall of Famer could not get them to play along, as they sidestepped his hypothetical situation, and Bradshaw responded:
"I know. I’m not saying it’s wrong. I’m just… (laughs)."

Like Williams, Terry Bradshaw was also the No. 1 pick in his draft class of 1970.
Kayla Nicole on Caleb Williams' nail polish
Since getting widespread recognition, the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner has been a subject of conversation for wearing nail polishes. As Caleb Williams revealed his latest nail paint before his NFL debut, internet personality and sports journalist Kayla Nicole did not like the style choice and tweeted:
"Idc about men wearing nail polish. I just almost always hate the shape/color/design selection.🙂 Like can we get a gelx stiletto with a French tip if we gonna go there hun?"
Caleb Williams has a habit of switching up his style depending on the occasion and could even surprise Nicole with his next fashion statement. The QB will have that opportunity on Sunday when the Bears take on the Houston Texans.
Williams has mentioned on several occasions that his habit is a way of bonding with his mother, who is a nail technician. He has been applying nail polish since he was a kid.
