When Stephon Gilmore’s wife lashed out at Adam Schefter for false alarm on Cowboys CB’s COVID-19 link with Cam Newton - “Stop reporting false news”

Back in 2020, Stephon Gilmore, while playing for the New England Patriots, tested positive for COVID-19. Later, Adam Schefter reported that Gilmore had dinner with quarterback Cam Newton, which is why the disease spread in the Patriots camp.

Since Adam Schefter is a trustworthy reporter, everyone assumed that the dinner contributed to the spread of COVID-19 among Patriots players, and Gilmore was held accountable for it.

After Schefter reported the incident, Stephon Gilmore's wife lashed out at the ESPN Analyst and claimed that the report was not true. Here's what Gabrielle Gilmore said as per Mass Live.

“There was no dinner out.", she said, "I’m going to help you out so you guys stop reporting false news.”

This wasn't the first time that Schefter has been called out by people close to the matter and it won't be the last. Recently, Aaron Rodgers also fired shots at him, and in the future, we are bound to see more such instances.

As for the COVID outbreak in the New England Patriots camp, many measures were taken in 2020.

Following Cam Newton's positive test, the NFL was forced to move the Patriots' game against Kansas City from Oct. 4 to Oct. 5. Gilmore's positive test resulted in a three-day closure of the Gillette Stadium facility, as well as a one-day postponement of the Patriots' Week 5 game against the Denver Broncos in Foxborough.

Last season, Gilmore had 53 solo tackles, 13 assists and two interceptions in 16 games for the Colts. In comparison, Diggs had 50 solo tackles, nine assists, one fumble recovery and three interceptions in 17 games.
