When will Von Miller return from injury? Bills star provides recovery timeline

The Buffalo Bills missed defensive end Von Miller big time last season. After leaving the Super Bowl-winning Los Angeles Rams, Miller landed with the Buffalo Bills.

Unfortunately, the 33-year-old only managed to play 11 games as he suffered an ACL injury that ended his season. Miller is now slowly working his way back from an injury that usually takes athletes around 12 months to fully recover.

Miller was a guest on the Pat McAfee Show and detailed how he was feeling during his recovery process.

He said:

“I'm in a good spot, you know, I think it was three months last week. It was three months last week or the week before that, I just kind of keep my head down and I just grind I'm feeling good, starting to feel normal and athletic and ready to go again.

"I don't even think about it. You know, obviously, we started doing some super athletic stuff. In another month, you know, I'd be another month into it and a month and a half into it and I'd be feeling hopefully I'll be feeling ready to go for that."

Von Miller unlikely to feature at the start of the season

Von Miller is edging closer to full fitness, but as we know, ACL injuries take time to fully heal. As Miller mentioned in his chat with Pat McAfee, his recovery is going well.

So what about a timeline for his return?

Going by Miller's comments, he will be able to do "football related" activities in the next month or two, which will no doubt please Buffalo Bills fans to no end.

While that is just a hope at this point from Miller, the fact that he and the Bills medical team have that kind of plan in place shows that his recovery is going as well as it could be right now.

It is highly doubtful that we will see Von Miller open the season, but if his recovery continues to stay on this trajectory, then he will be returning to the field sooner rather than later.
