Who is JuJu Smith-Schuster supporting at ALGS Split 2? Chiefs WR pumped for Week 1

Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is currently a free agent this offseason but celebrated a great performance by his other team. Smith-Schuster and his squad, Team Diverge, placed third in the ALGS Split 2 league competition over the weekend.

Split 2 of the ALGS Pro League pits the top 30 teams across the world for a spot in the ALGS Playoffs that will be held in London. Team Diverge is in Group A in the North American region. Their finish puts them in a position for a playoff spot.

The wideout took to his Instagram story to share his excitement.

The wideout founded Team Diverge, the world’s first “athlete-led gaming entertainment and lifestyle company," in October 2020. Smith-Schuster is the CEO of Team Diverge, which targets both content creation and Esports competition in numerous gaming titles.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, who played last season with the Kansas City Chiefs, is enjoying the success of his gaming team thus far. The former USC Trojans star has had quite the last couple of months of success on the NFL field as well.

Smith-Schuster joined the Chiefs on a one-year deal ahead of last season after spending his previous five seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In 14 starts for Kansas City, he had 78 receptions for 933 yards and three touchdowns. It was the second-most yards and third-most receptions in a season in the Pro Bowl wideout's career.

He played a pivotal role in the Chiefs making it to the Super Bowl last month, winning the first ring of his career. He had seven receptions for 53 yards in the victory.

JuJu Smith-Schuster will now look to bring home another championship this year in the ALGS Split 2 Lead competition.
