Who did Tom Brady replace at FOX? Panthers icon Greg Olsen faces salary cut over 7x Super Bowl champ's move

Greg Olsen has been serving as the leading NFL analyst on the top unit for FOX since Troy Aikman departed for ESPN. Each week from the booth, he calls the game that the network decides is the most important.

Unfortunately for Olsen, his role with the network will change in the 2024 NFL season. He has essentially been demoted to the second-team broadcast unit with Tom Brady set to make his debut in Week 1.

Despite never calling an NFL game before, Brady already signed a record-breaking contract and got premier seniority in FOX's weekly broadcasting assignments.

To make things even worse for Olsen, the former Carolina Panthers tight end will reportedly see his annual salary reduced in correlation with being taken off the A-team. According to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, Olsen will lose $7 million per season with the recent change.

Tom Brady will make his broadcasting debut in Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season in a national game at 4:25 ET when the Cleveland Browns host the Dallas Cowboys for an intriguing matchup. He will be paired with Olsen's former partner in the booth, Kevin Burkhardt, while Joe Davis serves as the color commentator for the second unit.
