Who won the Bengals vs Browns game last night?

The Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Bengals closed out Week 8 of the NFL season and it was anything but a tight contest. With many thinking a Bengals win was an assured thing, despite missing Ja'Marr Chase, it was anything but.

The Browns had a 2-5 record while the Bengals a 4-3 record, the game did not reflect that. The first quarter yielded zero points and it took until the second to see any action.

The Browns raced out to a 11-0 lead, thanks largely to running back Nick Chubb as the Bengals had no answer for number 24.

The blowout continued in the third as the Browns piled on another 14 points without reply to push the lead out to 25-0. Trying to save face in the fourth quarter, the Bengals offense finally got something going, scoring two touchdowns, but it was all academic.

On their home turf, Cleveland demolished the Bengals 32-12 to win their third game of the season. The Bengals have now dropped a game behind the Ravens for first place in the AFC North while the Jacoby Brissett's team closed the gap on Baltimore.

Cleveland scored 30 or more points for just the second time this season, and it was largely thanks to superstar running back Nick Chubb. To say that the 26-year-old forced his will on the Bengals defense is an understatement. They had no answer.

Chubb finished with 101 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries. His partner in crime (for now at least) Kareem Hunt also punished the Bengals, finishing with 42 rushing yards on 11 carries.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett played perhaps his best game of the season, throwing for 278 yards. Receiver Amari Cooper had his best game for Cleveland, catching five passes for 131 yards and a touchdown. Donovan Peoples-Jones also had himself a night, catching four passes for 81 yards.

For the Bengals, it was a sorry night. Held scoreless until the fourth quarter, they simply couldn't get anything going. Joe Burrow finished with 232 passing yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

The Bengals were held to just 36 rushing yards and only converted four third downs for the game. They also gave up 172 rushing yards as well.

For Cleveland, it was an important win as they look to gather some momentum for the season.
