Why does John Oliver want to see Brett Favre ‘hit in the nuts’? LWT host blasts ‘sausage-fingered’ Packers legend
Brett Favre has been in hot water over his welfare scandal case for quite some time at this point, but comedians are not done with him. While ranting about the former Green Bay Packers quarterback on Last Week Tonight, show host John Oliver blasted him with a joking threat of physical violence. Here's how he put it, according to Uproxx:
“That’s pretty infuriating to hear... of the roughly one Brett Favres in Mississippi, 100% of them managed to get $5 million for this f***ing volleyball stadium. It’s enough to make you want to see Brett Favre hit in the nuts with a football.”
Will Brett Favre escape the welfare scandal unscathed?
He continued, speculating about the basis of his understanding of governance:
“It’s not clear exactly where he thought the money was coming from... Perhaps he thinks there’s some pot of taxpayer money that he can just dip his sausage fingers into whenever he needs something. I don’t know. He’s been hit in the head a lot. Not enough, but a lot.”
Where did Brett Favre go after Packers stint?
The former quarterback of the Green Bay Packers left the team after the 2007 season. Initially, the quarterback set off into the sunset. However, just months later, he emerged from the horizon in a Jets jersey. With New York, the quarterback went 9-7, throwing for 22 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. The season remains one of the only positive records for the team since.
After running out of rope with New York, the quarterback joined rival Minnesota Vikings. At 40 years old, he put together a dominating 12-4 run with the team, throwing for 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Of course, after such an explosive campaign, the team had him back for another year.
However, he hit the wall, going 5-8 and throwing for 11 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. It was his final season in the league before he retired for the final time.
