Why does Skip Bayless hate Eagles? 'Undisputed' co-host makes allegiance clear
Skip Bayless, the co-host of Fox Sports' "Undisputed," is as die-hard of a Dallas Cowboys fan as anyone is likely to find. Part of being a Cowboys fan is a hatred of division rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Because of that, Bayless is going to have a hard time during the Super Bowl on Sunday. While he has stated his dislike for the Eagles, he has also been very vocal about his love for their quarterback, Jalen Hurts.
Who will win the Super Bowl?
This is where it gets tricky for Bayless. But he did take to Twitter to make clear on which side of the fence he sits when it comes to the Eagles and their quarterback.
"I hate the Eagles, but I love me some Jalen Hurts. I don’t doubt his ability to rise in this occasion. He will make a few more plays than Patrick Mahomes," Bayless tweeted.
So, there you have it. The Cowboys fan is going for the Eagles quarterback on Sunday and is hoping that the former Oklahoma and Alabama star can hoist his first Lombardi Trophy.
Can Bayless' favorite, Hurts, slay Mahomes and Chiefs?
Having been one of the most consistent teams in the NFL all season, much of the money has come for the Eagles to win the league's penultimate game.
But there is a small matter of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs that Hurts and company will have to navigate. After many thought the Chiefs offense was going to struggle after Tyreek Hill left for Miami, Kansas City hasn't missed a beat.
In fact, they have the league's highest-scoring offense, averaging 29.2 points per game. That'll work.
But they will come up against one of the best defenses in football. They only allow 20.2 points per game (ranking eighth), but it's the ferocious pass rush that helped amass a franchise-record 70 sacks in the regular season.
So, it promises to be a fascinating game on Sunday and Bayless's allegiance will be put to the test as the Eagles and Hurts look to slay Mahomes and the Chiefs.
