Will Cowboys regret passing on Odell Beckham Jr? Skip Bayless has his say on Jerry Jones' latest move

With the Dallas Cowboys shacking up with Brandin Cooks, most are assuming that it means Odell Beckham Jr. will need to look elsewhere for work.

Speaking on Undisputed, show host Skip Bayless picked who he would have taken out of the two. Here's how he put it:

"Odell finally fell out of good graces with Jerry because he's just not healthy enough, and Dallas didn't even go through his workout. And so I feel for Odell... Brandin Cooks is much more valuable right here, right now than Odell can be next year for the Cowboys coming off a second surgery on the same ACL."

Basically, the show host pointed to Beckham's history of recent injuries as the catalyst for the decision.

Will Odell Beckham Jr. reach the playoffs in 2023?

Beckham fails to court team in first round of free agency frenzy

The wide receiver OBJ has been out of the game for a full year and time continues to tick as free agency is well underway. Some put the wide receiver as a top choice leading up to mid-March. However, with the frenzy seemingly through its opening gauntlet of moves, the receiver remains without a home.

Of course, there are still months to go, but the longer it takes to learn his fate, the lower his asking price, if the pattern follows in a typical manner. The receiver took to social media over the weekend to make clear that he would not play for $4 million but also shot down assumptions that he was asking for $20 million.

Update: Odell Beckham denies the multiple reports he's seeking $20 million per year.

But says "$4 million" per year, isn't going to be enough either.

Still, the gap appears to be one that franchises aren't immediately jumping at.

While an official move to get the receiver hasn't been made, NFL insider Dov Kleiman has revealed that the New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, and Baltimore Ravens all have an interest in him. After more than a year of waiting, fans appear to be the most interested in learning the receiver's fate. Will he land in the AFC?
