Will Tom Brady call Dolphins-Patriots game in Week 5? What to know about NFL legend's broadcasting schedule
Tom Brady is arguably the best NFL player ever. Following his retirement, he's trying to become one of the best in the booth.
Before the legend finished his on-field career, he signed a 10-year $375 million deal to become a Fox Sports broadcaster. Brady made his in-booth debut during the Week 1 matchup between Dallas and New York.
Brady received mixed reviews after announcing his first game. However, he's since improved. Brady and his partner Kevin Burkhardt are set to call the Week 5 matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers. This means the Patriots icon will not be present for his former team's upcoming showdown against Miami.
Sports Illustrated writer Jimmy Traina confirmed TB12's next broadcast appearance by Tweeting:
"Tom Brady and Kevin Burkhardt will call Cardinals-Niners this Sunday. No Dolphins-Patriots for Brady."
Tom Brady dropped a major bombshell during yesterday's broadcast about what team he considered signing with before choosing Tampa Bay
While calling yesterday's Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Philadelphia Eagles game, Tom Brady dropped a major announcement. Brady said he almost signed with the Chicago Bears before choosing Tampa Bay in 2020.
Brady said Chicago was stealth in their recruiting.
The seven-time champion said:
"There was a lot of reasons to choose Tampa, and I made about 18 criteria why, and there was things all the way from salary, obviously, to the weather to the facilities to how great the players were.
"Ultimately, Chicago was a team, and I've never told that story before, they were very stealth in their recruitment. I was seriously considering them."
Brady played three seasons for the Bucs and helped them win their second Super Bowl in franchise history during his first season with the team. He also brought his buddy Rob Gronkowski along with him.
Brady may be retired from the game, but he will be heavily involved in the sport for the next decade as a broadcaster.
