'Wolverine' joins Eli Manning in trash talk battle against Tom Brady
Eli Manning is going all in in his support of his football team. He joined the fan base of the Wrexham AFC and wasted no time taking a dig at seven-time Super Bowl Champion, Tom Brady.
Brady owns 3.3% of Birmingham City, which is set to face off against Wrexham. The club announced on Instagram that Manning was joining their team. In the comments section, Manning said:
"Now I can beat @tombrady in football and fútbol! Go @wrexham_afc!"
Tom Brady responded to it by posting a video of his own. In the video, he flashed one of his Super Bowl trophies and took a dig at Manning for just winning two, while he had seven of them.
Hitting back at Brady, he said:
"Hey Tom, you made some valid points in your message and I heard them well, and they hurt a little bit. So I had to bring in my ringer."
And Hugh Jackman, famous for playing the fictional character "Wolverine," popped in. He issued a stern warning to Tom Brady:
"You've crossed a line. Two championships and six claws. Don't start it."
Towards the end of the video, however, he uttered a coy:
"I still love you, Tom."
Then looked at Eli for approval, who said that it was fine. Tom Brady is yet to respond to the trash-talk video.
Eli Manning refuses to use his football connection to help his kids meet Taylor Swift
In an interview with Us Weekly, he said that his three daughters, who are 13, 11, and 9, nag him all the time to help them meet pop star Taylor Swift. It should've been an easy task for Eli Manning since he's close to Travis Kelce.
However, their father made it clear that he was going to do no such thing for his daughters.
"If we happen to be somewhere where Travis and Taylor are in the same town or city and [they’re] like, ‘You gotta text Travis and see if we can, like, just meet up. We’ll be quick. We just wanna see her. We don’t have to say hi.’
"I’m like, ‘I’m not texting him [for you] to see Taylor. You [want to] see her, you gotta find a way, you gotta be creative. You gotta do it yourself," Manning said (H/T Us Weekly).
Maybe Eli's daughters need to ask Uncle Peyton for a favor.
