“Wonder why Davante Adams left” – Antonio Brown throws shade at Aaron Rodgers after Packers’ meek loss vs Titans
Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers lost their seventh game of the season on Thursday night after getting defeated by the Tennessee Titans. It looks like the Packers will be missing out on the playoffs this season, which will certainly be a huge disappointment for them.
The loss of Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders has really hindered them as their whole offense somewhat broke down in the early stages of the season. New and young receivers have started to play well but it seems like it's too late now.
After the Packers lost to the Titans, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Antonio Brown took a dig at Aaron Rodgers. Here's what he said:
"I bet Arod appreciate the WRs now, wonder why Adams left"
Aaron Rodgers has had a drastic falloff this season and many believe the quarterback is no longer his usual self. Rodgers has a passer rating of 93.2 with 2,542 yards, 19 touchdowns, and seven interceptions in 11 games this season.
Davante Adams, on the other hand, has had a productive season so far. He has 64 catches for 925 yards and has scored 10 touchdowns in 10 games this season.
Although the Las Vegas Raiders are also bound to miss the playoffs, Adams' performances this season have shown that the Green Bay Packers' quarterback relied more on Adams than the other way around. Hopefully, the Raiders will figure it out next season to maximize the star receiver's talent on the field.
Aaron Rodgers' future is uncertain
With the way the Green Bay Packers are trending this season, nobody knows whether or not Aaron Rodgers will play for them next season.
Trading him won't be easy because of his contract, but Rodgers could retire as he has hinted at the path multiple times.
The Packers have failed to acquire any veteran receivers via trade or free agency and that has been one of their biggest issues this season.
If they don't bring in elite talent on the offensive end ahead of next season, we might see Jordan Love suiting up for the Pack instead of Rodgers.
