“You just say ‘We need to execute better, let’s ride’” – Russell Wilson’s ex-teammate rips Broncos QB for failing to deliver

So far, this NFL season has been a nightmare for the Denver Broncos and Russell Wilson. They're 2-4 and the offense has been very disappointing. What was supposed to be a contending team has become a bit of an embarrassment. One former teammate of Wilson's did not mince words about it.

Mike Robinson played for the Seattle Seahawks from 2010-2013, and Wilson was drafted in 2012. Robinson took the opportunity to call out the Broncos star for his poor performances.

"You know the offense looks like this," he said on NFL Network. "You know there are all these questions out there about you and about this offense, and you just say, 'Oh, we need to execute better. Let's ride.' If you're a teammate in that locker room, you're like, 'Dude, be human! Please! Call somebody out!'"

Robinson continued:

"Be upset about something. Don't just act like this is business as usual, cause at the end of the day, and I think this is on the horizon for this team, and I hope it's not, but I think it's on the horizon. Mutiny is afoot. The guys in that locker room are going to start to turn around and say, 'Russell got paid, he got his money... what about us?'"

The Broncos trail the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers by two games right now in the AFC West.

Is it too late for Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos?

Even though it has only been six games, it seems like the Denver Broncos may have to give up on a playoff spot this season. They're not totally out of it yet, but many around the league expected them to be right in the thick of it, perhaps even leading the division at this stage.

That hasn't happened, but is it too late for them to turn it around? Thanks to some poor quarterback play, the Broncos find themselves with just a 16% chance of making the playoffs, according to FiveThirtyEight. The site thinks that they can forget about the division title, too, giving them a very low 4% chance of winning the AFC West.

There is still time to turn it around, but nothing they have shown so far indicates that they are capable of doing so. To make matters worse, the Broncos are tied to Wilson for the next six years.

We will see if things change in the near future and if Russell Wilson can lead this franchise to glory.
