NFL analyst tips Broncos Super Bowl winner as solution to Cowboys’ major problem

The last remaining member of the Denver Broncos' Super Bowl 50-winning team, Brandon McManus is reportedly available and he's at the Dallas Cowboys' position of need. According to reports, the kicker has been released by the Broncos

Dallas has had a major problem at kicker over the last few seasons. Reports have surfaced that they're interested in signing "anyone" to replace the inconsistent and ineffective Brett Maher, who missed a bevy of extra points in a playoff game last year.

Adam Schefter tweeted:

"A surprise: the Broncos informed kicker Brandon McManus, the last remaining member of Denver’s last Super Bowl team, and the man who has kicked for the team since 2014, that they are releasing him, per sources. There’s now an added veteran kicker for kicker-needy teams."

Field Yates, another NFL reporter, suggested that Jerry Jones call McManus immediately. Dallas does not have many holes on their roster, but kicker is one of their biggest.

It can be hard to find a reliable field goal kicker in the modern NFL as those not named Justin Tucker often rotate around to new teams frequently. McManus' exit is no different, but it doesn't mean he's not still worth a shot for the team.

At this point, the Cowboys are desperate and while McManus may be past his prime, he is a better and more proven option than some of the other potential kickers out there.

Will the Dallas Cowboys sign Brandon McManus?

The Cowboys will probably get on the line with Brandon McManus. They may not end up signing him, but it would be unlike Jerry Jones not to at least call to try and improve a weakness on his team.
