"I'm so tired of the kap talk dudes been out of the game for 6 years... the reason the move for Watson makes sense is he is still young, they saw russ at the end of his prime. (Watson 26, russ 33) so they might see spending money on a younger qb worth while."

"Let me go back and clarify what I mean by this: I would take Colin Kaepernick, a man who is not accused of sexual assault by over 20 different women, right now over Deshaun Watson, a man who is. Now, while y鈥檃ll are blowing my mentions up, make sure you RT this is as well."

The Last Time Watson & Kaepernick Played in an NFL Game

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson
Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson

Watson last played in the 2020 NFL season with the Texans, throwing for 4,823 yards, 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He led the league in passing yards and tied for seventh in passing touchdowns that season.

Kaepernick's last NFL season was back in 2016 with the San Francisco 49ers, where he started 11 games. He threw for 2,241 yards, 16 touchdowns, and four interceptions and ran for two touchdowns that season.

Kaepernick has been out of the league for quite some time and is also in his 30s. Watson sat out the entirety of the 2021 campaign but is only 26. Time is certainly in Watson's favor and that could prove to be a key deciding factor for teams mulling on signing either one of the two quarterbacks.
