NFL insider claims Tom Brady mulling two teams for 2023 season and it's not Raiders or 49ers (Exclusive)

Tom Brady and his future in the NFL has been a topic of conversation this offseason following the Buccaneers' exit from the playoffs. There have been a number of possible suitors for Brady, like the 49ers or Raiders.

According to NFL insider JP Peterson, the three-time NFL MVP asserts that neither the 49ers or Raiders are ideal:

"When I look around the league, I'd still think the Bucs are the best situation for him to move forward and when depending on who they hired the offensive coordinator situation. I think Miami is very much in play even though the Dolphins have said that Tua is their starter and he's coming back."

He added:

"This is the buying season, everybody is lying about it. Miami has said, Tua is their starter. I think he has major concussion issues. We saw that this year."

JP Peterson continued:

"He's (Tua's) a very slightly built man. I just don't see them feeling very confident that he is their future and played really well when he was healthy, but it's hard for him to stay healthy. I think they're looking at Brady because they wanted him last year."

Tom Brady being linked to the two West Coast teams is far from a coincidence, given his connection to both the Raiders and 49ers. Peterson said:

"Their owner, Stephen Ross, is a good friend of Brady's. There are a lot of connections there, obviously with his kids in Miami and his kids are very important to him. He said it on multiple, multiple occasions that he wants to be near his children."

He continued:

"He wants to be a part of their life and play football. So I don't think he's going to the Raiders. I know people think that's a done deal. It's not. I don't think he's going west. I don't think he's going to San Francisco. I don't think he's going anywhere where he's too far from his kids. It's going to be on the east coast. So to me, that's Tampa, Miami."

Why Tom Brady has been linked to the Raiders and 49ers this offseason?

Brady's connection to the Raiders is that of head coach Josh McDaniels, who was his longtime offensive coordinator with the Patriots.

When it comes to the 49ers, it was the franchise the quarterback grew up watching as a kid. It would be surreal to see Tom Brady lead the team to a Super Bowl like his idol, Hall of Famer Joe Montana, did in the 1980s.

Another possible option is that he could hang up the cleats and retire altogether like he initially did before this season. We'll see what happens this offseason with Tom Brady and his future.
