NFL trade deadline 2022: 5 Worst moves by teams

Ahead of the 2022 NFL trade deadline, we’ve seen some superstar players being exchanged in shock moves.

Christian McCaffrey was traded to the San Francisco 49ers and is already proving his worth. Meanwhile, there have been some trades that have left the NFL world slightly more perplexed.

Some trades that have gone down are very lopsided, be it the team receiving the player, or the team collecting draft picks. Here are five of the worst NFL trade deadline moves by teams in 2022.

#5 - Robbie Anderson to the Arizona Cardinals

Despite Robbie Anderson falling out with his coaches in Carolina and forcing a trade, you have to question the Cardinals’ decision to trade for him.

Despite only giving up sixth- and seventh-round picks for the veteran, they are stacked at wide receiver and arguably didn’t need Anderson. They already have DeAndre Hopkins, Rondale Moore, AJ Green and Greg Dortch.

#4 - Bradley Chubb to the Miami Dolphins

In a move that shocked many, the Miami Dolphins traded away running back Chase Edmonds, a first-round pick, and a fourth-round pick for Denver Broncos linebacker Bradley Chubb and a fifth-round pick.

While Chubb is talented, the Dolphins have given up a haul for a player who couldn’t stay healthy in 2021 playing in only seven games. So far in his NFL career, his best football came as a rookie in 2018 when he amassed 12 sacks. However, he’s failed to live up to expectations ever since.

New Dolphins’ pass rusher Bradley Chubb, who is 26 years old, now will be paired with budding edge player Jaelan Phillips, who is 23 years old.

Miami needs them. The Dolphins have only 15 sacks this season.
