Patrick Mahomes seen ignoring brother Jackson on the sidelines in TikTok video
Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes' brother Jackson was often caught up in controversies during the 2021 NFL season. But he has largely been away from the limelight this year, much to the relief of the quarterback.
While Jackson has managed to steer clear of controversies this season, he has been ever-present at Arrowhead Stadium. He has been constantly supporting his brother Patrick, who has put together an MVP season and led his team to their third Super Bowl appearance in four years.
Jackson was present on the sidelines along with sister-in-law Brittany Mahomes and nephew Patrick III before kickoff in the AFC championship game, and he posted a video of a rather strange encounter with his brother.
Patrick Mahomes, who was on the field getting amped up before the game, jogged to meet his wife Brittany and son Bronze before kissing them both. The Chiefs quarterback then spotted his brother with a side-eye but did not interact with him and jogged back onto the field without acknowledging him.
Watch the interaction below:
Patrick was likely dialed in and it slipped his mind to hug, give a high-five or share a fist-bump with Jackson. Whatever the reason, the interaction was uncomfortable to watch.
Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs head to Super Bowl
On the field, Patrick Mahomes showcased why he's still the #1 quarterback in the AFC with a majestic display against the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC championship game.
Despite having limited mobility and treading carefully due to the injury he suffered against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC divisional round, Mahomes managed to throw for 326 yards and two touchdowns. He set up the game-winning field goal with his ability to run with the ball.
Mahomes and the Chiefs will now head to Arizona to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl on Feb. 13.
