NFL Rumors: Ezekiel Elliott reveals three teams he wants to play for, including Cowboys' sworn rivals
Former Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott could be signed to a new team by the end of next week.
According to ESPN reporter Adam Schefter, Elliott has narrowed his decision down to three teams: the Philadelphia Eagles, Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets.
All three teams are expected to be Super Bowl contenders next season.
The Eagles fell to the Kansas City Chiefs 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII. They lost starting running back Miles Sanders to the Carolina Panthers in free agency. They added former Seattle Seahawks running back Rashad Penny.
The Cincinnati Bengals could move on from running back Joe Mixon, which would save them in cap space. The team could also hold onto Mixon and bolster its backfield as Samaje Perine departed in free agency.
The Miami Dolphins haven't had a premier running back in some time. The last time they had a running back rush for over 1,000 yards in a single season was in 2160 with Jay Ajayi. They re-signed running backs Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson Jr. and Myles Gaskin, but adding Elliott would give them a true RB1.
Elliott was released by the Cowboys last week, which saved the team roughly $10.9 million in cap space this offseason.
In his career with the Cowboys, he was named to three Pro Bowls and was twice an All-Pro selection, rushing for 8,262 yards and rushing for 68 touchdowns.

With Ezekiel Elliott gone, Tony Pollard will lead the Cowboys RB group in 2023
The Dallas Cowboys were expected to move on from veteran running back Ezekiel Elliott. He was a cap causality this season as he's aging and starting to regress on the field. This season, he posted career lows in rushing yards and yards per carry.
Tony Pollard had the best season of his four-year career this season, which resulted in receiving the franchise tag. He rushed for 1,007 yards and nine touchdowns while recording 371 yards and three touchdowns on 39 receptions.
Whichever team acquires Ezekiel Elliott out of the Bengals, Eagles or Dolphins will land a veteran running back who will add to their committee.
