According to ProFootballTalk, Dan and Tanya Snyder have cleared out the Washington Commanders’ front office in preparation of the sale of the franchise.
According to the latest reports, former NBA star and Lakers owner Magic Johnson has become the most recent bidder for the team.
Johnson has joined a group led by Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils co-owner, Josh Harris, in hopes of buying the team. Talks have progressed over the last few weeks between Snyder and the suitors and a sale could happen by the end of the month.
Who are the suitors for the Washington Commanders?
The Snyders are expected to sell the Washington Commanders very soon. Many suitors and talks have been heating up in the last couple of weeks for a finalized sale.
Of those suitors include Amazon owner Jeff Bezos, comedian Byron Allen, Todd L. Boehly, who is the CEO of Eldridge Industries, Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Penguins owner John Henry, and many others.
Talks and rumors will heat up the in the coming weeks and there could be a new owner of the Commanders by the end of the week. The Snyders are seeking north of $7 billion for the sale.
