NFL Trade Rumors: Bucs star linked with a move to Cowboys

Could the Bucs decide to make a splash and trade one of their biggest names this offseason? The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will see a change of guard at the quarterback position now that Tom Brady has officially retired.

Before the 45 year old quarterback signed with the team in 2020, the quarterback position was a tumultuous one for Tampa Bay. Brady brought that stability to the offense which allowed their stars to shine.

NFL.com's Adam Rank recently wrote that after last offseason's trade success at wide receiver with Tyreek Hill, A.J. Brown and Davante Adams, he believes the same could be true this offseason.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Mike Evans could be on the trade block. Evans has played for the Bucs for nine seasons and at the age of 29, is entering the final year of his current contract.

The team could decide to trade him now and get a good return rather than let him walk next year. Rank also stated that the Dallas Cowboys make be a good fit for the Texas native.

Dallas needs a big-time wideout and Mike Evans could bring that explosiveness to the Cowboys' offense, something that could possibly get the team out of their playoff drought.

Who could be the Bucs QB in 2023?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted quarterback Kyle Trask out of the University of Florida with their second-round draft pick in 2021. Although Brady was the starting quarterback at the time, they felt that Trask could sit and learn from one of the best to ever play the game before taking over the reigns.

Now that Tom Brady has retired, Trask is the only quarterback currently on the roster as second-string quarterback Blaine Gabbert is also officially a free agent.

The Bucs have shown confidence in starting Trask but with the available free agent quarterbacks on the market, could their be another enticing option for Tampa Bay?

Former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr could also be a name to watch out for. Carr is looking to sign with a contender and a back-to-back NFC South champion who has a talented team that could be somewhere that Carr may be interested in playing for.

With new offensive coordinator Dave Canales' game plan and change of personnel, Tampa Bay's offense will definitely look a lot different in 2023.
