Saquon Barkley or Jonathan Taylor Week 2 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Fantasy football projections for RBs
Saquon Barkley and Jonathan Taylor are no strangers to fantasy football managers. The two running backs have spent time as managers' key workhorses in recent years. However, for those who are lucky enough to have both backs this week, they have a difficult choice.
Should managers hope for a dominant showing for Barkley against the Atlanta Falcons or a better showing from Taylor against the Packers?
Is Saquon Barkley a good pick in Week 2?
Saquon Barkley is a great pick in Week 2. According to Sportskeeda's fantasy football projector, Barkley will earn nearly 23 points for managers against the Falcons. The reason for this could come in the second half. The Eagles are expected to win and once they have a lead in the third quarter, they will lean on the running attack in an attempt to salt the game away.
This will give Barkley extra touches, and having already produced at a high clip last week against the Packers, he has proven he can score a lot of points.
Is Jonathan Taylor a good pick in Week 2?
Jonathan Taylor is a solid selection in Week 2. The Indianapolis Colts running back has been quiet on the fantasy board in recent years, but the back has lots of hype surrounding him this year. Sportskeeda's fantasy projector predicts a great outing for Taylor against the Packers, earning 18.5 points.
With Jordan Love set to miss time due to the injury he sustained in Week 1, expectations are low for his backup quarterback. As such, the Colts could be in the lead for much of the game and once there is a lead established, Taylor will get some extra runs to break off a big one.
Jonathan Taylor vs Saquon Barkley: Who should I start in Fantasy Football Week 2?
Jonathan Taylor will get plenty of production this week, but Barkley is expected to . or almost an entire touchdown's worth of points more. As such, the Eagles' new back beats out the Colts' veteran back this week.
This might not always be the case, but in Week 2, Barkley gets the nod. The big difference will be in the receiving game.
Barkley is projected to have about three more receptions for 14 more yards with a higher probability of getting a touchdown. In PPR and non-PRR leagues, the receptions are enough to separate, along with the additional air production. The additional yardage creates more separation as well.
