Should I drop Cooper Kupp for Week 15? Fantasy outlook for the Rams WR vs. Green Bay Packers
Cooper Kupp had an exceptional season prior to his unfortunate injury in Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals. The Los Angeles Rams receiver has been recovering from the high ankle sprain he suffered in the loss to the Cardinals and underwent surgery.
Although Kupp's surgery was successful, he will not be fit to face the Green Bay Packers in Week 15. He is still on the injured reserve list. Some reports suggest that the 29-year-old may not return to action for the remainder of the season. Hence, you obviously should not pick Kupp for your fantasy team this week.
During Kupp's injury in mid-November, reports claimed that the receiver could miss up to six to eight weeks of NFL action. However, if the Rams are unable to make it to the playoffs, Kupp's season might be cut short. Sean McVay's side are currently fourth in the NFC West with a 4-9 record, and their hopes of qualifying for the postseason are hanging on by a thread.
Cooper Kupp's stats and fantasy outlook
Prior to his injury, Cooper Kupp was the best receiver in Los Angeles. He racked up an impressive 812 receiving yards and six touchdowns through the air. He also added 52 rushing yards and one touchdown on the ground.
In total, Kupp managed 126.4 fantasy points across nine games, averaging 14 FPPG. His absence has clearly been felt over the past few games as the Rams suffered three defeats in a row without Kupp before their win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 14.
Although Kupp is injured and will be unavailable for Week 15, here are some other receivers that can get you some big fantasy points in the upcoming games:
- Brandin Cooks
- D.J. Chark
- Jameson Williams
- Mike Williams
- Jerry Jeudy
- Zay Jones
- Van Jefferson
