Should I start Tyreek Hill this week? Fantasy projection for Dolphins WR after Tua Tagovailoa's return

Tyreek Hill was undeniably the best wide receiver in fantasy football last season. His start this year hasn't been productive, but hopes are rising. Furthermore, Hill's age could be a reason for doubt, regardless of Tua Tagovailoa's return.

Here's a look at the wide receiver and a recommendation.

Should you add Tyreek Hill in Week 9?

The Miami Dolphins face the Buffalo Bills this week. With Josh Allen dealing with the best touchdown-interception ratio in the NFL, Tua Tagovailoa will need to throw plenty in this week's contest.

As the quarterback's top receiver coming off his best game since Week 1, adding Hill is a no-brainer. The biggest fear this week is that Tua Tagovailoa gets too reckless, with the possibility that he could get hurt again after recovering from his last concussion. Assuming this doesn't happen and the 30-year-old wide receiver doesn't hurt himself on the gridiron, Hill should have a productive day.

Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Simulator also has the same expectation, projecting Hill to earn a whopping 17.3 points.

While this week seems promising, selecting fantasy football players isn't just about one game. Managers must also look ahead at the wide receiver's forecast for the rest of the season.

Injury concerns for both receivers are existential, but aside from that, expect to go on a run with Hill. Many defenses will let their guard down on the Cheetah, expecting him to resemble the stat line of the last two months. This gives the wide receiver an element of surprise, a rare luxury for a receiver of Hill's caliber.

Following the matchup with the Bills, the Dolphins face the Los Angeles Rams, Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots, and Green Bay Packers. The first three matchups line up quite nicely for Hill. While the Packers have one of the best intercepting defenses in the NFL, that isn't a problem for Hill as receivers don't lose points if a quarterback gets intercepted while targeting them.

Hill has been productive in his first look with Tua Tagovailoa since the quarterback's return, logging six catches for 72 yards. With another week to knock off the chemistry rust, expect a strong showing this week and into the future, assuming neither the quarterback nor receiver goes down with an injury.
