Steve Harvey’s pitch to end Tom Brady’s dominance was drastic - “Y’all ain’t thought about it?”

Tom Brady's success in the Super Bowl is unmatched. He has played in ten Super Bowls, out of which he has won seven.

At the 2019 NFL Honors ceremony, comedian Steve Harvey made a wacky suggestion to end Brady's dominance in the NFL. Many were surprised by Harvey's pitch, but the entertainer was merely fooling around with other players present at the ceremony.

Here's what Steve Harvey said about Brady at the 2019 NFL Honors:

"Everybody all of us are in here tonight because of one person Tom Brady. If Tom Brady wasn't living y'all could be in a Super Bowl. The only way I see us getting in the Super Bowl and I don't know why you ain't thought of it."

Harvey added:

"All this money in this room y'all, thought of pooling y'all money together having him killed. That tighten y'all up a little bit, you ain't thought about it…Hell I have, I'm tired of Tom Brady in Super Bowl every day, if he wasn't here we could be in the Superbowl.”

While Brady was in the AFC playing for the New England Patriots, he prevented greats like Peyton Manning, Phillip Rivers, Patrick Mahomes, and Ben Roethlisberger from reaching the Super Bowl several times.

Furthermore, Brady defeated the likes of Russell Wilson, Matt Ryan, and Mahomes at the Super Bowl, which stands testament to his dominance throughout his career.

With Brady having now retired, other quarterbacks in the league finally have a chance of making it to the Super Bowl. However, it looks like Patrick Mahomes is shaping up to be this generation's Brady.

Truly grateful on this day. Thank you 🙏🏻❤️ https://t.co/j2s2sezvSS

Mahomes will make his third Super Bowl appearance in the last four years this weekend. The 27-year-old led the Kansas City Chiefs to their first Super Bowl in 50 years in the 2019 season, when they beat the San Francisco 49ers. However, the Chiefs were routed 9-31 against Brady and the Tampa Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV the following year.

Brady signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Sports after announcing his retirement last season, but the pact did not begin because he returned to play. Now that he's officially retired, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback has indicated that he'll start working for Fox Sports in 2024.

Brady will take his time learning the fundamentals of his new life in the broadcast booth and will look forward to spending more time with his family. It would not be surprising if he becomes one of the best at Fox Sports in the near future.
