The Raiders' defense led the league in turnovers with 52, with Lester Hayes winning Defensive Player of the Year after making 13 interceptions over the season.

The Raiders led Super Bowl XV from start to finish after jumping out to a 14-point lead in the 1st quarter and were leading 24-3 going into the fourth. In the end, the Raiders emerged victorious with a score of 27-10.
