Super Bowl LI: Patriots' historic comeback

Super Bowl LI was played on February 5th, 2017, at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The New England Patriots, champions of the AFC, faced off against the Atlanta Falcons, champions of the NFC.

The Patriots had a fantastic regular season, finishing with a record of 14-2, the 7th straight season they recorded 12 or more wins. It was a remarkable achievement considering that Tom Brady was suspended for the first four games due to the "Deflategate" scandal. They won their division and then defeated the Houston Texans and the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship Game to advance to the Super Bowl. Quarterback Tom Brady led the team's offense, completing 291 passes for 3,554 yards and 28 touchdowns. The defense was led by defensive end Trey Flowers, who recorded 7 sacks that season, Donta Hightower, who made his 2nd All-Pro selection, and Devin McCourty.

The Falcons, coached by Dan Quinn, also had a successful regular season, finishing with a record of 11-5. They won their division and then defeated the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game to advance to Super Bowl LI. Quarterback Matt Ryan led the team's offense, completing 373 passes for 4,944 yards and 38 touchdowns, to win the MVP. Kyle Shanahan's offense, which led the league in scoring, also included Julio Jones, Mohamed Sanu, Devonta Freedman, and Tevin Coleman. The defense was solid, led by linebacker Vic Beasley, who recorded an NFL-best 15.5 sacks that season.

“One of the greatest catches I’ve ever seen” - Tom Brady, on Julian Edelman’s catch during Super Bowl LI!

I’d have to agree with you, Tom 😂.
