Tank Dell vs Jameson Williams vs Rashid Shaheed: Who should I start in Week 2 fantasy football?
Week 1 of fantasy football was full of surprises and maybe not the best kind. Dalton Kincaid left a taste of disappointment while Jalen Hurts failed to get going. Kansas City Chiefs free agency addition Hollywood Brown was projected as WR1 but an injury means he will spend the next four weeks on Injured Reserve.
So, where does that leave us when it comes to WRs this week? Here's a look at three playmakers you should consider in Week 2 fantasy football.
Tank Dell fantasy outlook for Week 2
CJ Stroud basically admitted that he was a little rusty in Week 1 but took full ownership, stating that it was his responsibility to get the offense going. Week 2 will see the Houston Texans go up against the Chicago Bears, who didn't exactly impress against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1. They held the Titans offense to 17 points but the Texans offense is a touch more explosive than the Titans' unit.
Yes, it's a crowded group with Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs, but the Texans are a pass-heavy offense and CJ Stroud loves to throw the ball. Despite everything else, Dell topped 100 yards in his first game. Stick with Dell this week.
Our Who Should I Start fantasy analyzer predicts a return of nearly 11 points for Dell this week.
Jameson Williams fantasy outlook for Week 2
If it feels like it's a breakout year for Jameson Williams, your spidey senses are probably right. Williams is an elite weapon especially downfield and if Week 1 was any indicator, the Lions plan to use him heavily on offense.
Per Fantasy Points Data, he was Jared Goff's first read on 43 percent of his throws. Those are encouraging numbers. The Lions face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2 which is a favorable matchup. If you have Williams on your roster, odds are he's delivering points this week.
Rashid Shaheed fantasy outlook for Week 2
If there's one WR who took everyone by surprise in Week 1, it was Rashid Shaheed. The New Orleans Saints pummelled the Carolina Panthers 47-10 and Shaheed racked up the highest numbers in the receiving corps on Sunday by catching three of five targets for 73 yards and a score. Even Chris Olave couldn't match up to those numbers.
But, the Saints go up against arguably the best defense in the NFL in Week 2 - the Dallas Cowboys. Mike Zimmer showed he wasn't messing around when Dallas faced the Cleveland Browns. This is not a favorable matchup for Shaheed or Derek Carr. Considering sitting Rashid Shaheed if he's on your roster this week.
