The mysterious case of Ray Lewis' cream suit that was never to be seen again

Hall-of-Fame linebacker and former Baltimore Ravens defensive legend Ray Lewis is one of the greatest linebackers of all-time.

On January 31, 2000, a fight broke out at an Atlanta nightclub that involved Lewis and two of his friends, which resulted in the deaths of Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar.

The deaths of Lollar, 24, and Baker, 21, ended in June 2000 when a jury acquitted Lewis's two friends of the murder due to lack of evidence. District Attorney Paul Howard alleged that Lewis wore a white suit that night which was believed to be blood-stained.

The white suit that Lewis was wearing that night has never been found or retreived and it is believed that Lewis got rid of the suit as there could have been evidence on it.

@reaver_troll @BabzOnTheMic I didn't say Ray Lewis went to jail, I said he helped murder a guy. Where's that white suit?

And here you go, Ravens fans absolutely gave Ray Rice a standing ovation. You freaking clown. si.com/nfl/2014/07/29….

The only consequences he faced were being sentenced to 12 months' probation and the NFL fining him $250,000 for a misleading statement to the police.

Lewis was never sentenced to prison and as a result never missed any time in the NFL.

In an interview with Shannon Sharpe on CBS before Super Bowl XLVII, Sharpe told Lewis that the families of the victims hate to see Lewis idolized.

Lewis responded:

"God has never made a mistake. That's just who He is, you see.... To the family, if you knew, if you really knew the way God works, He don't use people who commits anything like that for his glory."

Ray Lewis went on to have a Hall-of-Fame career and became one of the greatest linebackers of all-time

Ray Lewis was never guilty of any charges, and it never disrupted his NFL career. The first-round draft pick from the 1996 NFL draft went on to have one of the best defensive careers of all-time by any player in NFL history.

He became a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Baltimore Ravens while setting records in career tackles (2,059) solo tackles (1,568) and solo tackles in a single-season (156.)

He was named Defensive Player of the Year twice while earning 13 Pro Bowl honors and 10 All-Pro selections, and led the league in tackles three times, finishing his career with 2,059 tackles, 41.5 sacks, 31 interceptions, three touchdowns, 117 pass deflections, 19 forced fumbles and 20 fumble recoveries.

Lewis retired on top as he won his second Super Bowl with Baltimore. He was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 2018.

Years later, the case remains unsolved and Ray Lewis was never found guilty of anything.
