“They got Kobe the same way” – Terrell Owens getting Punk’d will never grow old

NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens was one of the hundreds of celebrities that were pranked on MTV's iconic show "Punk'd". Created by actor Ashton Kutcher, the show became an instant hit in the early 2000s as viewers watched some of their favorite celebrities and athletes get pranked.

Kutcher said he chose to 'punk' Owens because he was the reason he lost his Fantasy Football matchup the week before. He said this was a way for him to get revenge.

Owens is seen driving in a car with two women, who were in on the prank. They come across an overturned van that was carrying senior citizens. The female driver of the van approaches the car that the former NFL wide receiver was a passenger in and asks for help.

She specifically asks him if he can help her move the elderly away from the van because she is afraid that gasoline may be leaking from it.

Most Rec TD in first 9 NFL seasons:

Jerry Rice - 118 (HOF)
Randy Moss - 101 (HOF)
Marvin Harrison - 98 (HOF)
Terrell Owens - 95 (HOF)
Davante Adams - 87
Calvin Johnson - 83 (HOF)

I have underestimated how historically great Davante Adams is. Wow.

Terrell Owens helped her move people and then the police arrived and commended him for his heroism. Another man then arrives at the scene and says that he is a personal injury attorney. When he learns that Owens helped move people, he threatens to sue him. A police officer gives him advice and says that they have done the same thing to Kobe Bryant.

"I wouldn't even worry about this stuff man. You're an athlete. You've got a lot of money. This guy, he's obviously an ambulance chaser, I know how this stuff works out, man. They got Kobe the same way, I just hate lawyers."

After several minutes, the police officer reveals to the former NFL wide receiver that he is on the show "Punk'd". To which he laughs hysterically and one could assume, quite relieved.

Did Terrell Owens try to make a comeback at 49 years old?

Just weeks ago, rumors began to swirl that Terrell Owens wanted to make a comeback into the National Football League at 49 years old. The wide receiver, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018, apparently wanted to get back to the gridiron and most specifically the Dallas Cowboys.

An agent claims this week that he has been talking to "Jerry Jones' office" about T.O. returning to the Cowboys. On Thursday, Jones said he has no idea what the agent is talking about. wp.me/pbBqYq-cuCC

Dallas Cowboys team owner Jerry Jones quickly denied the rumors that Terry Owens was possibly re-signing with his team. Stating that T.O.'s agent who first reported the news hadn't been in contact with his organization. The wide receiver didn't pursue any other teams for a comeback.
