Tom Brady's yacht bigger than the Titanic? Fact-checking claims about NFL GOAT's latest Wajer 77
In tandem with his net worth and career earnings, Tom Brady is privy to a lavish lifestyle. Along with million-dollar properties and deals, the recently retired GOAT also owns a stellar yacht, the Wajer 77.
However, a few incorrect claims had people believing that Brady's yacht was bigger than the ever-iconic (and tragic) RMS Titanic. As per reports, a June 2022 advertisement claimed that Brady's yacht was indeed bigger than the Titanic. The ad itself was false and misled people who clicked on it.
The headline only focused on Brady's yacht and the Titanic, and contained no further comparative facts. Furthermore, the YourDIY.com article was about 'Most Expensive Celebrity Yachts', not just focusing on the seven-time Super Bowl winner.
Brady's section focused on his own yacht and how expensive it is.
Comparing to the Titanic, however, was out of question. The passenger liner, which sank in April 1912, was over 882 feet and also more than 11 times bigger than the Wajer 77. This does not include height or other details.
Brady's yacht is 77-feet, which is worth around $6 million. As per boatsafe.com, his yacht is on the smaller end of luxury yachts. They compared it to Jeff Bezos' Y721, which costs $500 million, and is 400-feet.
Previously, Brady owned Wajer 55S, a smaller yacht costing around $2 million. The Wajer 77, of course, is an upgrade.
Tom Brady was recently spotted enjoying some downtime on his new yacht
As shared by TMZ, Tom Brady was recently seen enjoying on his yacht (TW12VE ANGELS) with friends in Hollywood, Florida. That being said, the yacht was manufactured last year and was registered in February. Brady, of course, has already set sail on his new acquisition.
Considering his recent retirement, Brady might spend more time on his yacht even as the 2023 NFL season begins. This vessel can accommodate nine people together.
“I enjoyed the waters of New England, but when we moved to Tampa, with its beautiful bay, I said to myself, ‘I need a boat,’” Brady said (as per Forbes). “I love what (Wajer Managing Director) Dries Wajer is doing.
He added:
"When we first started working together, I was able to try-out a Wajer 38, then I got my Wajer 55S, and now I’m looking forward to continuing my ‘captainship’ on a Wajer 77...which Dries tells me I’ll get before the end of the year".
Brady, of course, made headlines on his Wajer 55S after throwing the Lombardi trophy at former teammate Rob Gronkowski.
