Tom Brady shares hilarious throwback pic to get in the Christmas spiritĀ
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have business to take care of on Christmas Day as they are slated to take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday Night Football and maintain their status as the NFC South leaders. But that did not stop the superstar quarterback from getting into the Christmas spirit.
Brady shared a hilarious throwback image on the BRADY brand's social media accounts and captioned it:
"'Tis the season!"
If Brady's stone-faced photo from his childhood, possibly from a school yearbook with a Christmas hat on, doesn't get you in the Christmas spirit, nothing will!
What is Tom Brady's record on Christmas Day?
After 23 seasons in the NFL, it's hard to fathom Tom Brady experiencing something for the first time. But that's what will happen when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday Night Football. This will mark the first time Brady has played a game on Christmas Day.
On the latest episode of the Let's Go podcast, Brady spoke about being away from his children on Christmas Day for the first time. He said:
"It'll be a new experience that I've never had before that I'm going to learn how to deal with. And I think that's what life's about. I'm gonna learn how to deal with Christmas Eve in a hotel, and I'm going to have to learn how to deal with Christmas and Christmas night and still go out there and be a professional and then look forward to celebrating Christmas with my kids the day after. Which is, you know, just part of what football season has been for a long time. So it's just, again, emotional aspects that allow us to thrive."
The Christmas Day matchup against the Cardinals is a crucial game for Brady and the Buccaneers. They are 6-8 and only half a game clear of the 6-9 Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints. The Panthers beat the Buccaneers 20-13 earlier this season. So, a defeat tonight for the Buccaneers will relegate them to second in the NFC South standings ahead of their Week 17 clash against the Panthers.
A Cardinals win would also ensure that Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers finish the 2022 regular season with a losing record, which would be another first that the quarterback experiences in his NFL career.
