Travis and Jason Kelce break down in tears talking about their parents post Super Bowl LVII
Sunday's Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles featured brothers Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce, who were the first pair of brothers to face off in Super Bowl history.
The milestone made headlines, with many heartwarming stories about the brothers and their rise to stardom and success.
Of course, only one brother could win with the other suffering a defeat. Travis was the one who celebrated joy as the Chiefs defeated the Eagles, causing Jason to be in pain after the game.
Following their Super Bowl matchup, the two reflected on it on their podcast, New Heights. The dup also broke down in tears as they talked about how awesome of a week it was for their parents during the week.
Here's their conversation:
Jason Kelce:
"The moment I saw Mom is when I got really emotional because, man, It was awesome for, you know, she was on top of the world for a week."
Travis Kelce:
"She was the heavyweight champ man. She was on top of it and she shined the whole time and that was the coolest part. Mom you absolutely killed it. Dad, you've been killing it."
Jason Kelce:
"Yep, it was just so cool man to see. You know her get to celebrate in there with us. It was an awesome moment. Just so happy for her. And so happy that she got her moment. Dad got his. So yeah, I was the only ironically, you know you lose the Super Bowl. And you're crying after the game. And they're not tears of sadness. They are the tears of joy."
Could Jason Kelce retire following the Eagles' Super Bowl loss?
Could Super Bowl LVII be the last game that Eagles center Jason Kelce will play in? ESPN reporter Adam Schefter reported during Super Bowl week that Kelce will decide if he wants to play another season this year or retire.
Jason will likely make the decision before the new league year, which starts on March 15th. He mulled retirement last season but returned on a one-year deal worth $14 million.
If the 35-year-old does call time, he will retire as Super Bowl champion, six-time Pro Bowler, five-time All-Pro and would likely make it to the Hall of Fame.
