Tua Tagovailoa or Dak Prescott: Who should I start in Fantasy Football Week 2?

Tua Tagovailoa and Dak Prescott are two quarterbacks who played well in Week 1 and helped their teams get off to a winning start. Both Tagovailoa and Prescott could be MVP candidates this year, which makes them a good option for fantasy football.

After a win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tagovailoa's Dolphins will take on the Buffalo Bills. On the other hand, Prescott and the Cowboys will go against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2. Who among the two quarterbacks is a better pick for this week in fantasy football? Take a look at both of their situations:

In the Dolphins' 20-17 win over the Jaguars in Week 1, Tua Tagovailoa completed 23/37 of his throws for 338 yards and a touchdown. Although he is 1-6 against the Bills in his career, the Dolphins quarterback will not shy away from throwing the ball and could put up excellent numbers in Week 2.

In seven games against the Bills so far in his career, Tagovailoa has thrown for 1,454 yards, six touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He would want to improve these stats, and tonight is a perfect spot for him to put on a show and win against the Bills.

The Bills' defense didn't look good in Week 1 against the Cardinals, and the Dolphins offense led by Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, and Jaylen Waddle could exploit their weaknesses. As a result, Tagovailoa will be a viable option for your fantasy football team in Week 2.

Dak Prescott wasn't required to do much in the Cowboys' 33-17 win against the Browns in Week 1. However, despite the excellence of his defense, Prescott made some big throws and kept the game away from the Browns.

In Week 1, Prescott threw for 179 yards and a touchdown with a passer rating of 85.3. He will go against a Saints team that played exceptionally well against the Carolina Panthers.

But Prescott is not Bryce Young, and he is more than capable of playing well against the Saints. With CeeDee Lamb getting more time in practice, the Cowboys' offense is expected to be better at home in Week 2, and it makes Prescott another good option in fantasy football.

Both Dak Prescott and Tua Tagovailoa haven't played well against the Saints and the Bills, respectively, so far in their careers. However, their teams are in an excellent position in Week 2, which will allow both quarterbacks to be on their A-game.

For Week 2, I would choose the Dolphins star. The Bills vs. Dolphins game might become a high-scoring match, and because of the talented players on his team, Tagovailoa could easily throw for over 350 yards and two or more touchdowns.

Sportskeeda's Fantasy Start/Sit Optimizer also gives an edge to Tagovailoa over Prescott in Week 2. Based on it, the Dolphins quarterback is projected to have 2.7 more points than Prescott.
