Tyreek Hill stats tonight: How did Dolphins WR fare against Rams in Week 10 MNF?
Tyreek Hill has been having a bad 2024 season. After two straight playoff appearances that ended in the Wild Card Round, his MIami Dolphins have been in a rough stretch, losing Tua Tagovailoa for a significant amount of time to one of the scariest concussions in recent memory, then losing multiple games without him.
With the quarterback back in the fold, they have been trying to get back in contention; but 2-6 across their first eight games is a hard hole to overcome. And it shows in Hill's numbers: only 441 yards and a single touchdown on 34 catches - the smallest numbers at that point in his career since he was a rookie.
Did he add meaningfully to that tally on Monday at the Los Angeles Rams?
Tyreek Hill stats vs. Rams
These are the numbers that Tyreek Hill posted on Monday:
- Receptions: 3
- Receiving yards: 16
- Receiving touchdowns: 1
- Rushes: 2
- Rushing yards: 11
Once again, it was another game in which the perennial All-Pro and Pro Bowler was mostly quiet save for one big moment, largely thanks to a wrist injury that limited his involvement.
But that moment, the game’s only passing/receiving touchdown and one of only two overall, was a very important one, as it gave the Dolphins the separation they needed to pressure the Rams into desperately seeking the touchdown that ultimately never came despite multiple chances.
Perhaps because of said injury, Tua Tagovailoa showcased a more diverse passing attack that involved Odell Beckham Jr., Jaylen Waddell, and Jonnu Smith. That kept the Rams guessing as to where the next pass would land, and it befuddled them - they had just 97 tackles against the Dolphins’ 112.
Hill has been long adamant about wanting to have the first 2,000-yard receiving season in NFL history, but that obviously now takes a backseat to helping the Dolphins return to the postseason - a notion that he once shared during preseason camp. He said:
"That's very selfish of me. Moving forward, the individual goal I've been talking about this entire offseason with my teammates and family is, I would want us to win a playoff game… Then moving forward continuing to build on that, we're going to move to the Super Bowl..... That'd be something that I could live with for the rest of my life."
The Dolphins next host the Las Vegas Raiders on November 17.
