The rookie ranked as the weekly RB16 in his expanded role and may have earned himself a larger workload going forward. This puts him firmly on the radar in fantasy football as one of the top waiver wire options to potentially target this week.

Devin Singletary was forced to miss last week's game for the New York Giants when they faced off against the Seattle Seahawks. This gave rookie Tyrone Tracy his first chance to serve as a starting running back in the NFL. He responded in a big way by totaling 19 touches for 130 scrimmage yards and averaging 7.2 yards per carry on his way to helping the Giants upset the Seahawks.
His breakout performance makes Tracy an ideal Waiver Wire target in Week 6 in all fantasy leagues that he is still available in. He provided the Giants' offense a much-needed spark and has likely earned himself a more significant role going forward. He even has a realistic chance of taking over as their starting running back, even when Singletary is healthy, so he is an excellent addition this week.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. fantasy outlook for 2024 NFL season
The Giants selected Tyrone Tracy during the 2024 NFL draft to help replace Saquon Barkley, who departed the team during the offseason. He opened the season as a backup for Devin Singletary and totaled just 16 touches across his first four games. This wasn't enough to make him a legitimate option for fantasy football rosters, but his outlook has drastically changed ahead of Week 6.
Devin Singletary has been relatively solid in his role as the Giants' starting running back this year, but Tracy demonstrated last week that he offers much more explosiveness and upside.
It's unclear if Tracy has outright won the job as the starter, but at the least, he should have earned himself a larger workload for the remainder of the 2024 season. He holds value in fantasy football in a timeshare but becomes an asset if he is eventually elevated to the RB1 spot in New York.
