Week 14 Waiver Wire Targets feat. Issac Guerendo, Gus Edwards, and more
In most fantasy football leagues, we have just one more week to optimize our lineups before the playoffs begin. The waiver wire can be an excellent tool for ensuring your contending teams have enough depth to survive and advance to championship week. Fantasy managers should proactively add the highest implied value running backs available while searching for pass catchers with new roles.
We will prioritise our top 10 players while featuring the best options in each position to assist you with your waiver wire decisions and FAAB suggestions before Week 14. We cast a wide net of potential targets, considering all players under a 70% ownership threshold on popular platforms like ESPN and Yahoo! Sports.

Waiver Wire RB adds for Week 14
#1 Issac Guerendo | San Francisco 49ers
ESPN 1% | Yahoo! 11% | FAAB Range 50-100%
The San Francisco 49ers lost two starting-caliber running backs in Week 13. It's been a year to forget for San Francisco's offensive weapons as injuries continued to dominate the narrative of its season. Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, Jordan Mason, Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, Ricky Pearsall and Trent Williams have all missed at least a game to significant time during the season. With McCaffrey (knee) and Mason (ankle) transferring to the injured reserve this week, rookie Issac Guerendo will project to be the next man up in San Francisco.
Guerendo made the best of his five touches Sunday with a 15-yard rumble in the snow in upper New York. The rookie topped double-digit touches in two games, with the most recent coming in Week 8 against Dallas. Guerendo had 17 touches in that game, with a touchdown and 103 scrimmage yards. Three of the final four fantasy-relevant games for San Francisco will be home, starting with the next two games versus the Bears and Rams. It is rare to see a player elevated from limited touches to a top-20 running back in a week. It's time to spend the rest of your budget on Guerendo and get a preview this week before the playoffs start in Week 15.
#2 Gus Edwards | Los Angeles Chargers
ESPN 54% | Yahoo! 17% | FAAB Rage 7-15%
The excellent news is that Gus Edwards led all Chargers' running backs in touches, rushing yards and catches. The bad news is it was only seven touches, 32 rushing yards, and one reception for one yard. It wasn't a banner week for the veteran running back, but with J.K. Dobbins moving to IR for the rest of the fantasy season, Edwards belongs on rosters across all fantasy formats.
Edwards is not a slam dunk instant fantasy starter, so he's a distant second behind Guerendo. His value depends on receiving high-value touches inside the five-yard line to pay off as a flex play. Edwards will also need to hold off rookie Kimani Vidal down the stretch in the lead-back role.
Los Angeles will have a marquee matchup with division leader Kansas City in Week 14. The Chiefs have been a defense to avoid against fantasy running backs this season, with Las Vegas' Sincere McCormick recording the most success in terms of rushing yardage with 64 last Friday. Edward and Dobbins combined for 51 rushing yards the last time these two teams met in Week 4.
Even though Edwards would only be a deep league flex option against the Chiefs this week, he could emerge into flex territory with Tampa Bay in Week 15 and Cincinnati in championship week. He's worth a keep-them-honest bid.
#3 Jaylen Warren | Pittsburgh Steelers
ESPN 70% | Yahoo! 51% | FAAB Range 3-5%
We'll keep pounding the table for Jaylen Warren as long as he stays under the 70% threshold in both ESPN and Yahoo! Leagues. Nothing has changed regarding his role or the status of starter Najee Harris. He is still the passing down back in Pittsburgh and plays a specific role inside this offense. Warren's consistency has been a real strength, as he came into this game with a five-game streak of double-digit touches.
That streak ended Sunday with only seven touches, but he turned in his best game as a pass catcher this season with four receptions and 55 receiving yards in the shootout victory over the Bengals. Warren is still a problematic start in fantasy football lineups; however, he continues to be involved in the Steelers' game plan and will be an instant RB2 if starter Najee Harris misses any time in the next month.
Waiver Wire WR adds for Week 14
#1 Nick Westbrook-Ikhine | Tennessee Titans
ESPN 20% | Yahoo! 6% | FAAB Range 4-7%
Tennessee is not in contention for a playoff run, so they appear to be giving Will Levis plenty of opportunities to prove he's the quarterback for the future going into 2025. The Titans cut Levis loose on Sunday with the most attempts of the season, which resulted in two passing touchdowns—both to veteran Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. It was the eighth time Westbrook-Ikhine caught a touchdown pass this season, with just 38 targets and 20 receptions in eight games.
Still, his eight targets on Sunday were a season-high, and his opportunities could grow with Levis still auditioning for his job next season. The Tennessee schedule is favorable down the stretch as Westbrook-Ikhine will face Jacksonville twice in Week 14 and Week 17, with starts against Cincinnati and Indianapolis in between. Before you dismiss the veteran receiver as a fluke, he could be on some championship teams by the end of the fantasy season.
#2 Adam Thielen | Carolina Panthers
ESPN 27% | Yahoo! 23% | FAAB Range 3-5%
It's fun to see a struggling franchise finally find some success, even in a lost season. Panthers coach Dave Canales is starting to find some puzzle pieces for 2025 and generate positive feelings heading into his first offseason. Bryce Young is gaining confidence and has somehow tapped into vintage Adam Thielen. The veteran wideout turned ten targets into eight catches for 99 yards and a touchdown.
He could've had an even more significant day if the officials had ruled a juggling catch in bounds. (Which it was). Still, it was Thielen's highest receiving yardage since opening day (46), and he has 11 catches for 156 receiving yards and a touchdown in the previous two weeks.
#3 Parker Washington | Jacksonville Jaguars
ESPN 1% | Yahoo! 4% | FAAB Range 3-5%
Parker Washington turned in his best regular-season performance as a professional last week, generating six catches on 12 targets for 103 yards and a touchdown. Rookie Brian Thomas Jr. is still the top dog in Jacksonville, but it's nice to have another receiver emerge, with Gabe Davis and Christian Kirk missing the rest of the season for the Jaguars.
The most significant question mark is the health of starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who was knocked out against Houston last week. Can backup Mac Jones carry enough volume to support multiple pass catchers? That remains to be seen, but Washington will have another chance to prove his worth against a struggling Tennessee defense in Week 14.
Waiver Wire TE adds for Week 14
#1 Hunter Henry | New England Patriots
ESPN 67% | Yahoo! 45% | FAAB Range 5-10%
Continuing the theme of pass catchers being elevated with young quarterbacks, veteran Hunter Henry had another solid performance with surging rookie Drake Maye last week. Maye has now thrown a touchdown pass in five consecutive games. Unfortunately, Austin Hooper has caught one in the previous two weeks, not Henry.
But you can't argue with seven catches for 75 yards on Sunday. It was the third straight week Henry has led all Patriots pass catchers in targets. If Henry remains healthy in the year's final games, he will have set career highs in catches and receiving yards in his nine-year career. You have to wait until he comes out of the Week 14 bye and start again in the fantasy playoffs against Arizona, Buffalo, and his original team, the Los Angeles Chargers.
#2 Pat Freiermuth | Pittsburgh Steelers
ESPN 42% | Yahoo! 58% | FAAB Range 3-5%
The Pittsburgh offense has been humming since Russell Wilson was inserted back into the starting lineup in Week 7. Wideout George Pickens has been performing like a WR1 with the increase of opportunities for explosive plays generated by Wilson's arm. However, the Pat Freiermuth breakout game had yet to come to light before it eventually happened in Week 13.
Freiermuth turned seven targets into six catches and a crucial touchdown in the second half against the Bengals. It's been more bust than boom this year for Freiermuth, who had a season-high 57 yards in Week 5 before Sunday. However, the veteran tight end has found his groove with ten catches for 127 receiving yards in the previous two weeks.
