What happened to AJ McCarron's wife, Katherine Webb? Viral Alabama WAG carving a name in fashion industry
Katherine Webb was dating then-Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback AJ McCarron when broadcaster Brent Musburger found her in the stands during the national championship game. Musburger couldn't help himself by saying that she was absolutely beautiful, and viewers took notice.
Her social media following instantly increased, as did her notoriety. At the time, she reportedly had just about 2,000 followers on Twitter. After the Crimson Tide's victory, she had close to 200,000 followers.
She was Miss Alabama in 2012 and finished in the top 10 in the 2012 Miss USA competition. She then appeared in the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. In March 2014, McCarron proposed and the two got married in July 2014.
The couple has three sons ranging in age from six to one. While Webb no longer competes in pageants, she has returned to the competition as a judge for the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants.
She uses her Instagram page to not only share family moments but also give hair tips and fashion advice. The couple is also in the business of real estate investment. Webb has documented renovation projects that they have worked on in the past.
Katherine Webb was once again caught celebrating her husband's win
AJ McCarron was in the National Football League for seven years and during that time only started four games. After tearing his ACL in the second preseason game in 2021, he hasn't stepped back onto the field since. That was until he was drafted by the XFL's St. Louis Battlehawks this past November.
After an unbelievable comeback win over the San Antonio Brahmas, McCarron celebrated the win with his children on the sidelines. During the game, his wife Katherine was once again spotted watching her husband live.
She was seen in the stands ecstatic when he and the Battlehawks pulled off the win. She took to her Instagram stories later that night to say how proud she was of McCarron and that the win was much more meaningful than anyone could know.
"Not many ppl know how meaningful this win was but you a baddd man."
AJ McCarron told reporters on the sidelines after the win that it was important to him that his sons had the opportunity to see him play football in a meaningful game. The time he spent on NFL practice squads the last few seasons has largely contributed to this opportunity for him.
