What happened to De'Von Achane? Dolphins RB takes big hit vs Patriots

De'Von Achane and the Miami Dolphins are currently playing against the New England Patriots in Week 5. Both teams are currently on a three-game losing streak and desperately need a win.

Achane unfortunately took a hit during the first quarter of the game and was sent to the locker room for further evaluation. As per reports, the Dolphins running back has been downgraded to out, and will not return to the game.

Achane had three carries for 18 yards prior to his injury. In his absence, Raheem Mostert will be the Dolphins' leading running back and Jaylen Wright will be the backup.

Several Dolphins stars like Tua Tagovailoa, Jaelan Phillips, and Bradley Chubb are already sidelined, and the team will hope that Achane's injury is not that serious.

In four games prior to today's game, De'Von Achane rushed for 165 yards and a touchdown on 53 carries. He also had 20 receptions for 187 yards and a touchdown.

Last season he rushed for 800 yards and eight touchdowns on 103 carries in 11 games, along with 27 receptions for 197 yards and three touchdowns.

Achane is a very important player for his team's offense, and the team will hope to get him back soon. The Dolphins have a bye next week, so the chances of their star running back missing a game are less.
