When Antonio Brown blasted Shannon Sharpe on Twitter over TE's take on WR joining Tom Brady's Patriots

Over his scandal-ridden twelve years in the NFL, Antonio Brown has been a member of four teams, but people will likely remember only three.

There was the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he began his career and had the most success, the Oakland Raiders, who cut him before he even played a game, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he won a Super Bowl.

But there was also the New England Patriots, where he played just one game before allegations of sexual misconduct led to his release.

That was back in 2019, just shortly after the Raiders released him before the regular season even began. When discussing Brown's stint in Foxboro, Hall of Fame tight end and current analyst Shannon Sharpe said on Twitter:

"Where are the ppl that said AB had this scripted all along to end up with the Pats? Ppl gave AB far too much credit for being that smart. A smart person would’ve behaved in Oakland and collected 30 mil not act a damn fool and lose it."

When someone else attempted to call him out on it, Sharpe responded:

"You think I have that kind of power? I called for AB to act professional, not be a (clown emoji). That didn’t work tho. Be mad at the weather not the weather man for telling you about it."

He also reposted the video of Brown's reaction to being cut with the following message:

"1.9M ppl watched this video 2 weeks ago, applauding this (clown emoji)ish behavior. What do the 1.9M ppl think today? I’ll leave you with this: Talent is God-given; be humble. Fame is man-given; be thankful. Conceit is self-given; be careful."

Brown, however, was not going to take Sharpe's criticism lying down. In a since-deleted tweet, he pointed out that Sharpe himself had been accused of sexual assault in 2010 (no charges were eventually filed):

Sharpe revealed to Brown that the accuser, Michelle Bundy-Evans, was actually a stalker whom he had previously spurned for a date.

What controversies has Antonio Brown seen in 2023?

Even after his seeming departure from the NFL, Antonio Brown continues to make headlines. Recently, he became the owner of the Albany Empire, an indoor football team in his childhood city.

But things have not gone very well, with controversies like coaching changes still following him to this day. As the Empire spiraled on their way to an embarrassing 34-79 loss at the Jacksonville Sharks on Saturday, he went on a Twitter rant about his team's lack of cohesion and stability:

Hard to win a game when to many complain coaches not talking to
All the players takes real unity get Ws
New coach new trainer new players Who wanna Win?????
Complacency kills
We got veterans out there throwing punches getting kicked out game we got to do better !

All in all, it's been a quiet year for Antonio Brown thus far.
