When Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany penned a hearfelt note after QB's 2017 NFL Draft: "Officially a Kansas City Chiefs fan!"
The Kansas City Chiefs' decision to draft quarterback Patrick Mahomes in 2017 turned out to be the start of a dynasty-building era for the team. The Chiefs moved up in the first round of the draft to select Mahomes as the future quarterback of their team.
After Mahomes was drafted, his now wife-Brittany Mahomes, shared a post on Instagram expressing her excitement for his future. She shared a photo of the two of them together, with the quarterback wearing a Kansas City Chiefs hat for the first time.
"Officially a Kansas City Chiefs fan! I'm so proud of you Patrick! I can not wait to take on this amazing journey by your side!❤️ I love you lots!"
Brittany Mahomes stated how excited she was to support the quarterback in his next chapter. Neither of them could have imagined how much success the young quarterback would have in his first few seasons in the NFL.
At just 29 years old, Mahomes is already a three-time Super Bowl champion, three-time Super Bowl MVP and two-time NFL MVP.
Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany shared how proud she was of the Chiefs' quarterback
Brittany Mahomes' support for her husband, Patrick Mahomes, dates back to when the couple were high school students at Whitehouse High School in Texas.
While both played sports collegiately, they became long-distance until Mahomes was drafted by the Chiefs. The couple, who got engaged in 2020 and then married in 2022, are now expecting their third child together.
Over the years, her support of the Kansas City Chiefs and the quarterback hasn't wavered. This past Sunday, Brittany flew to Los Angeles to show support for Patrick Mahomes in the Week 4 matchup against the Chargers.
Brittany shared an Instagram post at SoFi Stadium where she was wearing black pants and a red t-shirt that she paired with a black hat that said 'Mahomes 15'. She also added another picture on her Instagram Story of her embracing the quarterback and sharing how proud she is of him.
“Another win, always proud of you 15," Brittany wrote on Instagram.
The Kansas City Chiefs defeated their AFC West rival, Los Angeles Chargers, 17-10. The Chiefs remain one of the few undefeated teams in the National Football League as they look to be the first to win three consecutive Super Bowl titles.
