When Tom Brady admitted Aaron Rodgers would've been more successful under Bill Belichick: "He'd throw for 7,000 yards"

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are two quarterbacks whose NFL careers will be described using the word longevity. Brady defied "Father Time" and Aaron Rodgers is now playing in his age 40 season. Back in 2018 though, Tom Bady spoke to ESPN.com about his long-running career.

Brady, who was still the quarterback for the New England Patriots at the time, credited his coaching staff and organization for his success. Brady said that if Aaron Rodgers had the same style of offense as he had with the Patriots he would have exceeded his stats and possibly thrown for 7,000 yards a season.

"He'd throw for 7,000 yards every year. He's so much more talented than me," Tom Brady said of Aaron Rodgers potential under the New England Patriots.

Tom Brady also gave Aaron Rodgers the ultimate compliment by saying that he was 'more talented' than him as a player. Not only did Brady have the offensive style that benefited his play, but he also was given a wealth of knowledge each week about his opponents, something defensive-minded coach Bill Belichick was known for doing.

While Aaron Rodgers has four NFL MVPs, he has one Super Bowl win in one appearance. Brady, on the other hand, made 10 appearances in the Super Bowl, winning seven Lombardi Trophies.

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers won the 6th edition of "The Match"

When Tom Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, he and Aaron Rodgers became familiar opponents. In fact, in his first season with Tampa Bay, the two quarterbacks faced off in the NFC title game that season. Brady was 3-1 over Rodgers in his career.

In 2022 though, the two quarterbacks became teammates when they teamed up for Capital One's "The Match" where they faced off against Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.

The competition came down to the 18th hole and with a birdie putt, Aaron Rodgers secured the win.

It wasn't the first time that the quarterbacks participated in the same "The Match" tournament. In 2021, they faced off against each other in the celebrity tournament. Brady was paired with PGA pro Phil Mickelson with Rodgers was paired with PGA pro Bryson DeChambeau. Rodgers and DeChambeau pulled off the win over Brady and Mickelson.
