When Tom Brady broke down the Patriots' iconic Super Bowl LI comeback win vs Falcons: "That was everything we didn't want to do"

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots' comeback in Super Bowl LI is one of the most memorable games in the NFL. The Patriots were down 28-3 at halftime, but a second-half resurgence over the Atlanta Falcons led to a 34-28 overtime win.

After the game, Brady spoke to reporters about the comeback and the quarterback got emotional.

"I'm tired, man. That was exactly the way we didn't plan. That was everything we didn't want to do first half. It was better in the second half, so. Just a hell of a football game," Brady told reporters after the game on Feb. 5, 2017.

Not only was it the largest comeback in the history of the Super Bowl, but it was also the first to go to overtime in the league. Brady was crowned Super Bowl MVP for an NFL record (fourth). He also became the first NFL player to win five Super Bowl titles.

Tom Brady's wristband from Super Bowl LI comeback up for auction

On Dec. 10, Sotheby's will kick off the “The GOAT Collection: Watches & Treasures from Tom Brady” auction. It will feature some of the most iconic pieces from Brady's historic career. The wristband that Brady wore during Super Bowl LI in the 28-3 comeback will be up for bid.

The wristband is expected to be auctioned off for anywhere between $120,000 and $180,000. It shows all the plays that the New England Patriots leaned on to return and eventually defeat the Atlanta Falcons.

Other items included in the auction will be some of the watches from Brady's extensive collection, totaling around $6 million. Brady's jersey from his college days with the Michigan Wolverines will also be up for auction, as will his Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey from when he set the all-time passing record for quarterbacks in the NFL.
