When Troy Aikman didn't hold back judgement on the Deflategate scandal-"I'll go to my grave saying Tom Brady knew"

Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman didn't hold back his opinion of Tom Brady during the "Deflategate" scandal.

At the time, Brady and the New England Patriots were accused of using deflated footballs during the AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts in January 2015.

In 2016, Aikman was a guest on "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" radio show. He told Cowherd about the process that the NFL allows teams to take to prepare footballs for games. He said that Peyton Manning and Tom Brady were actually the two that went to the commissioner to ask for approval to bring their own footballs.

Rep. Pat Fallon, a republican from Texas, is now asking Roger Goodell about deflategate and Tom Brady's suspension.

Fallon says he's angry and went through a list of nicknames for Brady, including "The Real Slim Brady"

Troy Aikman said that league officials inspect footballs before each game and that if the balls were deflated it would have happened after that. He said that he continued to stick by his belief that if the footballs were in fact deflated, then Brady had to have known that.

"I haven't read anywhere where that is now a certainty well no one deflated the balls.
"And, if that happened, if balls were deflated as I said a week after it all happened if balls were deflated, I will go to my grave saying that Tom Brady knew that the balls were then being deflated because the only reason balls are deflated is if that's how the quarterback likes the footballs. I know that from experience."

As he said, the footballs are prepared to how the quarterback likes them. If the footballs had less air and the quarterback used them, then Aikman believes that is what he wanted.

Tom Brady in final stages of buying stake in Las Vegas Raiders

Recently retired NFL quarterback Tom Brady will soon have a new title: NFL Owner. The seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback has come to terms with Mark Davis to buy a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders. After weeks of speculation, the deal was official between both parties.

The sale will now go to the other NFL team owners who will have to approve the sale before it becomes final. This will be the second professional ownership investment that he has made this year. Just a few months ago Brady bought into the WNBA's Las Vegas Aces.

The former quarterback still apparently intends to work for FOX Sports starting next season. And, his new ownership won't have any impact on the new position in the broadcasting booth.
